Founding Dentist Oregon City
Get to Know Dr. Eric Berkner

Dr. Berkner has a simple philosophy: he treats patients how he would want to be treated. That means providing quality care guided by compassion, and he’s proud to work with a team that thinks the same way. He looks forward to giving you the kind, unrushed experience you deserve while achieving the smile you’ve always wanted.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Berkner knew dentistry would be a great fit because he wanted to help people and always had great fine motor skills. Coming from a family of engineers, dentistry combines science and attention to detail while allowing him to work with patients, which just felt right for him.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Berkner made Oregon his home after falling in love with the Pacific Northwest while studying at OSU and the OHSU School of Dentistry. As a student, he taught himself Spanish on the bus before school so that he could help patients in their primary language. He worked in Montana for two years right out of school before coming back to Oregon with his young family, starting Ponderosa Dental Arts in 2013.
Dr. Berkner has been dedicated to continuing education throughout his career so he can offer more options to his patients, such as Invisalign and in-house dental implants. He even flew our staff down to Jamaica, where everyone volunteered for a week, offering basic dentistry to underprivileged patients. He has also done lots of volunteering with Mission of Mercy, Give Kids A Smile, Medical Teams International, and with multiple local organizations in the community.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Berkner and his wife, Molli, have two wonderful children, Henry and Haley. When he isn’t spending time with them, he likes to hunt, ski, and fish. His biggest passion outside of dentistry, he has traveled all over the world to fly fish, which has taken him to some very wild and remote places.
